The harms of chocolate

 


Chocolate must be one of the most desirable and delicious foods or desserts, and the favorite of many, and most of us cannot resist its taste until everything in excess of it must be harmful, so we will show you the harms of chocolate. 

The harms of chocolate :  

  • Chocolate is a food rich in calories from fats and sugars. Irregular may cause obesity (weight gain) and high blood sugar, but about a third of the fat in chocolate is of a healthy type, and the other third is stearic acid, which does not affect cholesterol levels in the blood, leaving only a third of fat and acid Palmitic which leads to an increase in cholesterol.  
  • Chocolate contains a variety of substances that have addictive properties at the moment you start eating chocolate, and then find it difficult to stop eating it, such as: * Theobromine and caffeine that raise and stimulate mood or what is known as moodiness so that it gives you a kind of happiness that is difficult to find elsewhere But this is temporary happiness, and once it goes away, moods and fatigue return (and this is one of the most dangerous damages that chocolate can cause when taken as a comfort food).. * And phenethylamine, which can cause the spread of endorphins in the brain. 
  • Chocolate may be associated with nervous tension and migraines because it contains vasoactive amine compounds. These compounds can cause dilation of cerebral vessels and thus cause headaches for susceptible persons. 
  • Chocolate has high levels of arginine which is required for the reproduction and growth of the herpes virus, and patients with active or recurrent herpes infection should avoid eating chocolate. 
  • Sleep disturbances may increase nightmares and disturbing dreams if they are eaten at night or before bed. It was noted during the study that they affect one person out of two hundred, and their impact on men is greater than on women. 
  • Too much leads to an increase in the possibility of tooth decay. Note: Most of these harms are likely to be doubled by a person's ability to occur with excessive consumption of chocolate, so we try to be regular and moderate in eating it, especially in children.
